Chappaqua AYSO Extra Program

AYSO EXTRA is a travel program available to all AYSO players who desire to play more competitive soccer and participate in more serious training. The program starts with children entering AYSO's U9 division (3rd graders) and consists of one practice during the week and an Area travel game schedule on Saturday afternoons. EXTRA teams also participate in two or more Area tournaments

The size and scope of the EXTRA program may be limited by field constraints and the availability of qualified coaches.  Practices will be conducted or enhanced by professional trainers. However, it will remain a truly "EXTRA" program and all EXTRA players must participate fully on their regular AYSO teams.
 

In brief: 

Ø      EXTRA is open to all. There are no tryouts.

Ø       EXTRA players must play on their regular or core AYSO teams.

Ø       EXTRA practices are on a weekday afternoon or evening.

Ø       EXTRA games are played on Saturday afternoons.

Ø       Coaches are volunteer team parents, but professional trainers will conduct all practices.

Ø       Coaches must have a minimum U12 AYSO certification.

Ø       The expense of the trainers will be borne by the team, as will any optional additional expenses.

Ø       EXTRA teams participate in an Area Wide travel schedule of play.
